Gentlemen, thank you for your help.

Here are some more shots of the book.

It's a book about this guy:

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Blumhardt

Hitler was big on religion and philosophy and many of the books taken from his libraries were on this subject. That and warfare.

And a nice surprise inside too. Some pencil markings. This particular paragraph Hitler (I assume) has marked is a background to Blumhardt I think - a quick summary if you like.

I have been doing some research into who this Riedel might be.

Hitler's doctor (Dr Morrell) worked with another doctor called Dr Gunther Riedel, who was a scientist. From what I gather, he was involved in the development of the first electron microscope.

Years ago, David irving wrote a book about the 'secret diaries of Hitler's doctor' - and, in it, he makes mention of Gunther Riedel. In the appendix is a reference source - an affidavit Riedel signed in December 1945. If I could get a copy of it, I would be able to compare signatures to see if it's him. I'm not banking on it, put it that way.

                      Hi Chris

if you can open this you will find a note that the affidavit (dated 3.12.1945) from Dr. Günther Riedel is not any more in the Irving Collection which is held in the IfZ (Institut für Zeitgeschichte), München. So we have no chance to compare the signature.

                        Gerdan

Thanks for looking anyway. Maybe the US Library of Congress have it; I'll take a look.

                        Appreciate your help!
