    something on U-550 perhaps.?????

    Very nice documents guys.
Sorry that I have no scanner or camera as I have some interesting material too, maybe to show it some other time in the future.

    Question:
Are there any collectors who have documents/photos/passess for or related
    U-550 under Kapitänleutnant Klaus Hänert.
I hope there are some people around with such material.

    Thanks for showing.

    regards

Hi Michel a very ineteresting document, perhaps this supports the argument that the printed version was not used before 1942.

One I have one which is of simlar period to your milch cow, dated 1st June 43 for the U-304 which was sunk on its first patrol. Sunk 28 May, 1943 in the North Atlantic south-east of Cape Farewell, Greenland by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft (Sqdn. 120/E).

It is interesting to note that this also came with a GWL badge. It looks like these may be the badges awarded at that time. The nice touch which I did not know until i got it was that it came with a black armband also enclosed in the carton.

Any members have evidence of a printed certificate earlier than the 2nd Sept 42 shown?

        Regards
        Rob

          U-Boot documents and photo's

          Hi all,

That are very nice U-boot documents shown here. I also collect U-Boot stuff, but hasn't been able to get a Posthumous U-Boot document yet, So iff any from you have some to spare I'm your man to give it to .

Does anyone on the forum has any documents our photo's from crewmembers from U-506 and U-154? I'm trying to get as much information as I can get about these two boats. So please feel free to share them with us.

          Thanks
          David Notebaert

Yes of course - here is my newest purchase.

The guy (Richard Ligmaier) sunk with U-702 in March 1942.

I got this small estate from 2 brothers a few days ago.

Rudolf (the brother) was a radio operator and Richard the jack.

With the docs came the U-boat award (I guess made by Juncker)

Gladly I would like share the pics (from Richard - the jack) with you
