Hi Martin,

I would only point out that, on 12 May 1944, the 1st SS-Panzer-Divsion "LAH" was commanded by SS-Brigadefuhrer Theodor Wisch - and had been since 4 June 1943.

DKiG citations for Heerr and Waffen SS soldiers were signed always by a Generalfeldmarschall, Keitel to be precise from late December 1.941 till the end of the war.

So run away from any signed by other.

In my opinion a fake one.

Would suggest you avoid this document. It has several features that are not consistent with original VB DKiG documents. Foremost is that from 1942 onwards the awarding authority for Heer / Waffen-SS awards for the German Cross in Gold was the Oberkommando des Heeres and therefore the documents bore the signature of Field Marshall Keitel in either hand signed or facsimile form.
