    i bought this Portrait of a SS Unterscharführer from Regiment Deutschland a few years ago.

    Whats your opinions?

    Although the contrast of the scan isn't great, I would say original. Very nice and rare photo! Thanks for sharing

        I have some doubt...Regiment Deutschland with a cuffband it seems (IMO) not well sewed with a panzer berret of the late war...mmmm...

          I´m also not sure what about i should thinking about the photo.

          The soldier is the same like in Gordon Williamsons book " The Waffen-SS 1933 -1945" on page 107.

          I´ve the book in German, so i´ll try to translate.

          A SS - Unterscharführer of the Waffen - SS in a black Panzerjacket. Likely a member of a Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung because he´s wearing the Infantry Assault Badge and the Cuffband from the Infantry Regiment "Deutschland". He is also wearing the SS-Insignias for M43 which are rare at late war photos.



          I hope you could understand my conversion.
