Not often do you see the results of Eastern Front fighting through a Russian camera lense.....

All these photos were taken during summer-autumn period of 1941. There was a project in LiveJournal dedicated to soviet photos from early period of war with description and dates, sub-divided for sections ... but from the link above I can see only mixture with no back ground info.
