WH Prayer Book

A friend was going through some of my stuff when he found this long forgotten book. Im guessing it is a prayer book. As a nice embossed picture of a helmet, cross and acorn leaf.

Anyone seen one like this before? is it private purchase EM, officer or chaplain?

Show the title page and we know for sure, but it certainly looks like a private purchase prayer book that could have been owned by anyone. Cheers, Torsten.

It was a very common military prayer book in Germany. It was often published in a lot of editions to be available to roman catholik military persons.

Yes, a very common catholic prayer book. Still very nice.
Any unit markings.

That probably was a gift, the more common ones have paper covers and were given to soldiers by Chaplains etc.
