This small unit type map (as opposed to a large arial type) came with a load of vet bring back stuff, most of it German. Is there any way to know by looking at it whether this was a German or Allied map?

It seems to be a German map. There is no hint to identify the map as an Aliied one (not a word is written in English).
It is a very common sort of German map, so as Messtischblatt.

Thanks -- I was thinking it was German. Also the size is about right to fit in an officer's map case.
