    Show your Soldier with Family Portraits!

    I get a kick out of the great pictures in the Wedding Photos thread, but let's show some family photos at occasions other than weddings.

    One of my favorites, dig the Trachtenmode on the boys. From a Bayreuth photo studio.

    Best,
    Greg

      I would propose that we include soldiers and eras other than just Third Reich ... this guy is classic - he's got his gun, he's got his wife, he's got his baby, and he's got his truck. All he's missing is a dog!

                  Great photos, Original(D) and Scott, thanks for posting!

                  Here's another WWII family, from the Allied side.

                  My grandfather (a WWI vet), my father (2LT USAAC, 344th Bomb Group (M), my grandmother, and my uncle (Sgt, USAAC).

                  Best,

                      GREAT pic of your family Greg.
                      It reminded me of this pic of my Grandfather Pvt L.C. Mathis ,my Grandmother Jewel Mathis and my Great uncle Weldon Mathis. Sadly this picture was taken when my grandfather was home on leave after basic in 1943 and was killed in Operation Cobra July 1944

                              Hello all,

                              Here a couple of Soviet photographs from the same person;

                              And some German photographs;

                              Nice shot taken in Genoa, Italy.

                              Nice family shot at Hameln, the young guy on the left died in Italy whilst serving as an Oberleutnant, to his right his older brother, who survived the war as an Oberleutnant zur See. The father died as a Generalleutnant und Divisionskommandeur in the Netherlands, and to his right his youngest son, who survived the war as a Fahnenjunker-Unteroffizier.

                              Father, mother and son at Uffenheim, January 1944. Most likely a short holiday due to the fact that the son served with 2./SS-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 2 "Das Reich" from July until December 1943.
                              Also, the father looks a lot like another photograph in this thread!

                              And one of my favorite American photographs;

                              With kind regards,

                              Koen.
