    Hi, can anybody decode these 2 westwall medal certificates, I would like to find out the rank, unit and signatures? Cheers, rick

        Otto Meissner

        the top one of course has no unit. The bottom one is 'only' an RAD detachment.
        Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

          If you men the rank of Willi Dick, he is a "Fahrdienstleiter" a rank of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.
          He was a station inspector or traffic superintendent with the German State Railway.

          The signature of the firs docvument is from Otto Meissner as Simon told us. He was the head of the Office of the President of Germany.

            The RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) detachment 6/122 was located in an area called "Huttchiner

            Ländchen" in the "Saargebiet" near Einöde a town near Saarbrücken.

            There the man called Hans Reichert was working to built the "Westwall" (Siegfried Line):
