The end of Anzio-Annie - Robert -

Hello...after a long research started from a old picture taken by a G.I., I can found the exact spot where the "Robert" ("Anzio-Express"...the other big gun was called "Leopold" by germans and "Anzio-Annie" by Allied) gun was captured from Allied.
The point is the railroad station of Mole del Mignone, on the railroad line between Civitavecchia and Orte. The station was open in 1929 and definitively closed in 1961. The house on the right is the same and the gallery today is closed.

Marco, I was looking at your great picture and was wondering how long did it take for you to find this location of the gun. When you are trying to find this specific spot after all these years that is out in the country its like looking for a needle in a haystack. Anyway keep up the good work I do enjoy your photo of then and now displays.
