    SS-VT portrait

    greetings,i obtained this portrait from the estand,thanks to the seller.my query would be;how did an EKII ribbon end up on this uniform? i could probably figure out the time period for this uniform on my own,but its always interesting to see the direction these lead.thanks as always,jon

    The Bevo eagle on the SS-VT cap is the 1940-pattern, but these were not generally issued until 1941.

    I'd date the photo to mid-end 1941.

      This timeframe is additionally supported by the fact that he is still wearing the Death's Head button (deleted from the price lists in early 1941) and the Soutache (officially discontinued in the second half of 1942), although of course inoffical wear continued beyond that point.
