Can anyone make out the inscription on the back of these pics? I don't have many photos but I have these few, which are interesting the guy certainly looks pretty proud of himself. Any idea of who the officer is? ( bit of a longshot! ) It would be nice to know a bit more so any help would be appreciated

Clear scans of one at a time would be better. It's been a long day and my eyes are too fuzzy for blurs on multiple angled planes...
"Major Göbel (month) 43 im Westen" and
:Major Göbel mit General in (illegible) Westen..."
Göbel appears to be overweight, glasses, and with a KVK1X, so I'd assume a zV, recalled war's duration type.
If I could see his ribbon bar...
There were quite a few Imperial army officers named Göbel or Goebel (the writer may not have gotten the correct form), so no way to tell more at this point that I can think of.
Larger, clearer details might help. -
Thanks for the help Rick, sorry about the scans, the handwriting is blurred in reality and my antiquated scanner and cackhandedness didn't help. Major Göbel appears a fine figure of a man
in another picture there is band playing so seems like it was his big day with the General in attendance. He actually seems very familiar to me, perhaps he reminds me of a old school teacher, but I won't dwell on that!
The General appears to have German Cross in Gold/Silver. The Major's ribbon bar is made up on five devices but unfortunately I couldn't blow them up ( in size! ) with any clarity.Comment
