    pilot grouping

    hi guys,
    i just recieveed a grouping to a pilot, in the grouping are 3 documents with awards and a picture. first up the pilot badge document. opinions are welcome.

    he learned to fly late in the war

      like i said, he recieved this one for the same wound as he did the black one.

        and here the guy himself is, the pilotbadge on the picture i also recieved. he also scratched his name on the back of his pilot's badge.

            9 Staffel, JG 11. you've got some nice research potential here.

            I wonder if he was wounded during this mission?

                  The Wound Badge in Black document is signed by the famous fighter pilot and holder of the Swords, 'Toni' Hackl who was GruppeKommandeur of III/JG11 at this time.

                  Excellent set of documents.

                    i read the link you gave, and it could very well be he got wounded there, it was above berlin and that was his area where he was stationed.

                        Very interesting group. The pilot badge is posted on the Luft forum. The two things I find interesting about this group are that there is a picture of the FLL badge in wear and the date of the award confirming zincer's being awarded in July 1943. Thanks for showing these.
