    Award citations

    What are some ways of spotting fake award citations(common ones like kvk, hindenburg, etc) ive heard that fakes tend to be crude photocopies of originals and are not folded sometimes and should have wear but are there any other things to look for?

    In the Association members area, check out the fake docs forum. There are a bunch there, and you can get an idea of what to look for.

      Content more than anything, ie. units, stamps, signatures, dates etc. etc. all have to hang together in the story each document tells us.

      Once you have the document in hand, then you can look at the paper, printing and ageing.
      Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
