Hi Kurt, Super grouping.
I believe the caption says "shortly after attack" followed by a list of names & ranks and condtion .It looks like they were all wounded ,one being KIA. There are more individuals listed than shown in the photo.

Thanks for posting this one; it is indeed a beautiful and rare outfit. It is interesting to compare this one with the photo showing the white piped collar tabs. Do you know the individual's wartime history? Did he remain with RGG after its conversion to FS-Panzer Division HG? Did he survive the war?

Karl-Heinz Plath
Yes, he started in the RGG, was in Brigade Herman Goring and then to the Herman Goring Division. Yes he did survive the war. I am hoping to find out more about him by some means. The set did come with his hat when first found but when the set was resold the previous owner I am told would not sell the EM visor cap and kept it. I have more pics and will look through them again. Looks as though he may have moved to tanks later on. He served under Rossman the RK winner in 16./Flak for awhile.

Correction
I have been instructed by the seller that he has received new information on this fellow that indicates he was killed in the early stages of the Sicily campaign while with the Herman Goring Division, Stay tuned. May explain why his grouping has nothing in it dated after late 1942.

Hi Kurt,
A fantastic grouping to be sure. I am looking forward to hear if you have been able to find out anything more about this soldier.
It is interesting to see the dogtag, which is a later period dogtag. The Flak-Rgt HG was not formed until later. Without going over my documentation, I would venture a guess around late 1942. I cannot remember off hand if it was before or after the Afrika capitulation and reforming in Sicily and France. So, I would have to surmise that he lost his original dogtag and was re-issued a new one, maybe with the reforming of the unit? Maybe he was injured, lost his tag, and died in the hospital as a result of the injuries?
What ever the story may be, it is surely wonderful.
Thank you for sharing,
Curtiss

Always nice to hear from you of your new collection Kurt, thank you very much for sharing great stuff!
The Panzer III picture was probably taken in Holland I believe? I am not sure why you wrote "note vehicle number" but yes, Panzer Regiment HG had a very well known (to modellers anyway...) number "715" which was later seen on a Panzer IV with a distinguished white heart marking.
