Hi Tom ! No Letters from him for a couple of Years. The last time I got News, he was leaving in a Senior Home. He was suffering from Parkinson-Illness, but his Spirit was clear and he still had good Memories from his 3rd Company "Die Königliche Dritte" as he loved to say !!

Hi Chris !! What you have shared with us is just amazing. Never seen something like that before... Can you see the metal Insignia worn on his Shoulder Boards ?? The only comparable Portrait I own (Panzer Wrapper with CCC and GAB is from an Uffz from the 2./Pz.Jäg.Abt.178 (Sf)....

Hi Vet 44 ! Nice Grouping indeed !!

            Thanks Guys for sharing.

Nice field made items Chris! Imagine if they came up for sale on the estand and the hammering that would receive! really a nice job on making the DKiG, done up very well with materials on hand!

Thanks for showing these to us!

                Hello 708.V.G.D.

I am pleased you like it. Sadly I do not own it but would like to. It was found by Peter Von Lukacs directly from the family so I believe and Panzer Bob got it off him. The thanks must go to Bob for having the vision to keep the images of such an important grouping on his web site. Yes there were devices on the boards and because of an award document etc still being present. We know who this interesting and decorated panzer recon. NCO was,

                Chris

Just amazing Group. Thanks to you and your estimated Friend to give us the Opportunity to see it !! Such a Group can nowaday ONLY come from the Family itself, I can imagine the Faces of most People visiting a Militaria Exhibition and seing it proposed by a Seller...
I also had for many Years the unique Opportunity to get quite a "one-of-a-Kind" Group for a "Panzer-Vernichter".... Due to the Fact that most Vets have meanwhile passed away and that a lot of Families have been visited by Collectors, such opportunities, I am afraid, are now belonging to the Past !! If you didn't see the Thread I wrote about this Group, the Picture thereafter will probably bring you to have a look at it !! Here is the Link : http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=549849&page=4

That is a simply amazing grouping in more ways than one. Thank you for showing

Here is another important TDB grouping which also surfaced recently. This one has 2 field made TDB's to a panzerwaffe who had over 50 tank battle days. Sadly however, no pictures. The TDB's are all cut off the tunic, two still with bits of the tunic remaining.

Again many thanks for your interest,

                    Chris

                        Hello 708.V.G.D,

sadly the Soldbuch, Wehrpass and other documents were not found. They may be out there but that is all that I was able to pick up. To find more would be great because this is certainly an interesting grouping in more ways than one.

Thank you for posting another killer TDB photo. Excellent thread,

                        Chris

This Knacker belonged to the 129.I.D., maybe Gren.Rgt.430. This Picture has been published with another (better) one in the Book from Heinrich Boucsein "Halten oder Sterben", die Hessisch-Thüringische 129.Inf.Div. im Russlandfeldzug und Ostpreussen 1941-43"
