    Angel,
I was comparing Giel's photo to Meitzel, but I'll post a pic of Meitzel taken from the lexicon-der-wehrmacht.de site.

I saw it after I made my post, I was so exiceted with the posibility of an identification that I read what I want to read not what really you wrote

      Angel
Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Hey, Angel I can understand that excitement
I've looked through my list and found the following Herbert's:
        • Wachtmaister Herbert Berneis
        • Herbert Biderman (still alive after the war)
        • Herbert Jauernig (no further info)
        • Oberjaeger Herbert Muller (Jag Rgt.741)
        • Herbert Schimpf (no further info)
        • Hauptmann Herbert Stenzel RKT (Pz.Grn.Rgt.108)

I've looked through the pic's I've collected and there's no obvious lookalike

        Cheers,

        Neil

                        Hi Neil,

No name, I only know this photo was taking in Poland '44. It should be an NCO training course. It's one of the most beautiful group photos I own! If you zoon in, you can see that every person has something special.
