    Hi PzV,

this document shows that the recipient recieved 1 TDB award but recieved 3 TDB's, probably for wear on three tunics I presume. Very intersting !

    Thanks for the info !

What an odd assortment of awards Hoenscheid had!

Army man, but Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge.

          Combatant, but KVK1 without swords!

That's what you get for being a front-line war correspondent.

Great photos guys!! The last SS photo is amazing (one has to survive in order to wear the badge). Yes, Deejay, I found the document also interesting in that it shows that wearers of the Tank Destruction Badge were actually issued more than one most probably due to the fact that it was sewn to the uniform.

The second and third ones down is of Oberst Ernst-Günther Baade, the rest are so far (as far as I know) unidentified.
More of mine to follow when I can get my scanner working......

                  Cheers,

Some of the details in these pictures look like they might open up the old debate again.

Here is my only Pz destruction badge which came from the family together with the iron cross, Fallschirmjäger sew-on badge, wound badge and letter from the company commander commemorating him on the award of the Pz destruction badge. This one was never sewn on and is slightly mothed on the back.

The one with 5 panzervernichtungsabzeichen is Oberscharführer Adolf Peichl, and the last posted picture is Hans Sdun.

                                PzV,
Great badge. The prices of these are getting out of hand. I have a Silver badge that was taken off of the sleeve of some unfortunate Landser by a Brit' veteran.
