There are many re-prints in the market. I do not know nor do I recognize these to be honest. However the appearance of the portfolio is consistent with another in the market place that has been around a long time.

I would clarify with seller the source and if the paper glows. I was going to message him but got tied up.

Meanwhile I´ve been informed by a collector friend that the black version for sure is a reprint - a well known reprint produced in the US.
Originals were larger and had a white - not black - cover.

      Thanks, ustufvorwaerts

There is another with a brown cover that is original, but not sure if SS. The second is an SS non Willrich that is all over the place. So this piece is new to me but based on the appearance it is in line with other re-prints.

        Best,

        Kris

I have withdrawn the sale until a firm assessment can be made.

I will hit these with a UV light to see what we can see.
These were bought at a local "stamp show" so the exact lineage beyond that is unknown.

Although these are quite large 16" x 12", and the black folder shows fading to the outside but not the insides, and the silver sparkley print ( not the same as the runes) looks like what you see on SS funeral wreath ribbons.

This is why I try to stick to cloth insignia!
