Here is a small contribution...More will follow. The cover of my upcomming book shows a suberb beard "in-wear", but I have to refrain from making this photograph public at the moment.

An interesting note is that it is easier to find photographs of soldiers with facial hair made in the winter, as it was prohibited per regulations to shave when temperatures were below freezing.

And another one. The soldier on the left, clad in a Winterjacke 43 with a Sumpftarn exterior and dito pants, has a nice goatee.

If wanted, I can make a scan of the German text that indicated the prohibition on shaving in cold weather?

Back to top, with a somewhat recent addition. Came in a grouping of a Unteroffizier of Panzerabwehr-Abteilung 156, attatched to the 56. Infanterie Division.

Max seela in number 8 is wearing a IC II as an RK. Did anybody else but robin notice that? Also many of these bearded guys look the same, and in #5 the guy on the left is from the timbuktu "Yeti" division. And YES yetis do smoke cigars.
