    War Cross Document

What would be a fair price for this document? The Hitler signature is printed, not signed.

At the top end or somewhat more than the estimated price range of 500-1000 USD at Cowans i would have thought. You don't often see a KVK without swords up for sale and this one is to someone implicated in war crimes and an SS-Oberführer.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Any idea why it didn't generate more interest? I know Cowans has been known to have both good and bad items. I don't know much about documents, but having said that, it certainly looks good in comparison to all the threads I have looked at.

Perhaps the right collectors simply weren't there. I see no immediate red flags with it. A desirable item i would have thought.

                Simon,
Meyer was not implicated in war crimes. He was found not guilty, through lack of any evidence, of all charges other than being a member of an illegal organisation, the SS. For this "crime" he was sentenced to 2 years 10 months imprisonment.
