    Ink, or print.

Hey guys, whats the easiest way to tell an ink signature apart from a printed one.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi James, a printed signature will usually be one consistant "colour", by that I mean it will be uniform in shade. An ink signed will often one will exhibit lighter and darker areas, due to different amounts of pressure being applied by the person or areas which overlap.

Here is a pic for an example. The top signature is printed while the lower one is signed. See the difference?

    Hope this helps?

    Cheers, Ade.

What's it on? For a Wilhelm Keitel sig you often don't need to look at it under a magnifying glass because it's well known what stamp signed docs were pushed out with his name.

Also, be aware that a good few people misidentify his brother, Bodewin's sig as being Wilhelm's, though this is Wilhelm
