It is a hand made cross with the death card of two Volunteer Fire dept (Freiwillige Feuerwehr) members killed in an Air Raid.

It is to remember two members of the fire brigade of Ruesselsheim (OPEL factory), Gross-Gerau county, named Fritz Zeh and Georg Öfner who have been KIA during an air raid.

        There is given no date.

            I have some more information:

            1) Fritz Zeh * 12 Jan 1903 Mainz + 16 Sep 1943, burried cemetery Ruesselsheim, Reihe 6 grave 82

            2) Georg Oefner * 6 Apr 1901 Bischofsheim + 6 Sep 1943, burried also in Ruesselsheim, Reihe 6, grave 90

The signature of Alfred Wunneberg as SS-Obergruppenführer is not strage because he was a chief of the German Police. Google his name.
