    The history a photo can hide

    Every now and then, when studying photos, you can come over somthing that is hidden when you first look at it.

    This is such a photo. It's a rather bad taken photo of a parade in Oslo in April/May 1940. The other one in the lot from the same parade are much better. Just take a look at it and see if you can spot something quite interresting.

    The building in the back of the picture is the University of Oslo.

    After surrendering to the Germans, some of the Norwegian officers were brought there and held in captivity.

    By scaling up the photo one can retract some parts of it, and it shows a totally different story.

    The interresting part is no longer the officer or the marching soldiers - but all the faces of the Norwegian officers watching the parade through the windows in the 2.nd floor.
