    SS Ausweiss.

    Hi Guys.
    I would hear if anyone can help me to tell me who the SS Standartenführer there have signed this ausweiss is,i can not read or see it so i will be greatfull for any help just so i can get the name on the person that have signed it .

      Hi Peter, Robin is correct. I have one signed by the same man.

        A huge batch of these 27. Standarte ID cards was found in Gdansk about 15 years ago.

        They date from just after the Roehm Putsch, when a lot of SS units were being reorganised. Hence some of the alterations and overstamps.

        If you look at the other side, one of the unit stamps may have a spelling mistake on it. Some cards have this, others don't.

        I think it's a missing letter in 'Nationalsozialistische'.

        Just a useless but semi-interesting piece of information.............even the SS made mistakes.
