Eichenlaub winner photo ID help needed

I received this photo of an Eichenlaub winner as a freebie in a book that I bought from Germany. The photo is a recent copy but the signature is original. Does anyone have any idea who this is? I can read the first name as Alfred but the last name is harder to decipher. Any history on this individual would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Alfred Grislawski

    Hi Richard,

The pilot is Hauptmann Alfred Grislawski (born on November 2nd, 1919 and still with us). He flew in the famous Karaya-Staffel (9./JG 52), together with the Diamonds Winner Oberstleutnant Hermann Graf.

Grislawski shot down 133 enemy airplanes (24 in West, including 18 four engines bombers) during the ~800 missions he made. His 100th victory was achieved on 27.04.1943. LAte in war he also served with JG 1 and JG 53, flying against the 8th US Air Force.

He was awarded with Ehrenpokal on 30.05.1942, with the Ritterkreuz as Feldwebel on July 1st, 1942 and with the Oakleaves (446th) as Hauptmann on 11.04.1944. He was badly wounded in action over Münster on 26.09.1944.

It´s a Brazilian site that I help to run. There you´ll able to find a bio abou thim - in Portuguese, sorry - but still with some interesting pictures of him.

    Hope it helps you.

    Regards,

    Douglas.

    PS - Beautiful drawing!

        Sad note...

        Hi Richard,

As a very sad update to the previous post, I must say that I just know that Alfred Grislawski passed away on 19.09.2003 in Germany. He had 83 years old. Another "Alt Adler" made his last flight.

        Wishes,

        Douglas.
