    RAD dokter fotoalbum questions

I can buy this album and i have a few questions about it,

    the album contains the following:

89 rad foto's on airport, hospital en rad kamps
1 foto of hitler and Reichsarbeitsführer Konstantin hierl??
    ernennungs urkunde vormann
    ernennungs urkunde haubtmann
    medical papers
    rad ausweis
    mitgliedskarte
    rad obervormann schoulderboards
    rad obervormann collartabs
    rad unit schield unit 144-6
    rad medical patch
    and some correspondance

    the questions are,

what would a album like this be worth
could the high ranking officer be Reichsarbeitsführer Konstantin hierl?
the seller told me that a rad medical patch was rare, is this true?
    wat unit was 144-6?

    the foto's:

    Hello! Very Nice album!!!
what would a album like this be worth
    A lot.

could the high ranking officer be Reichsarbeitsführer Konstantin hierl?
    Yes, this is Hierl

the seller told me that a rad medical patch was rare, is this true?
Yes, I would think this patch is very rare, I have never seen one of these before.

    wat unit was 144-6?
I have not the first clue.

May I ask how much he wants for it?

            Hello,

You got a very nice deal!! I would have guessed the value with the insignia to be around $300 (depending on the amount of pictures) .A cloth hat badge will run from $25 to $60 depending on what kind and who you buy it from, just a quick note the album (and ID) is NSAD (National socialist arbeitsdienst) and the album has some RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) pictures-the NSAD was a pre RAD organization the uniforms were about (there are a few small differences)the same so alot of people mistake them for RAD-in June 1935 the title changed from FAD/NSAD to RAD.Any arbeitsdienst album dated 1935 or earlier is a FAD/NSAD album, unless you get a post june 1935 album!!(yours has both NSAD and RAD pictures) the stamps on yours indicate that he was in the NSAD before june 1935 and then in the RAD when they changed names.note the spade on the stamp of his ID is flat on the top, this is a FAD/NSAD stamp-

This guy was a not Doctor in the RAD especially with the amount of time he spent with the RAD...9 months as a volunteer!

However he would have completed a basic medical course to be entitled to wear the medic badge......

I spent 2 weeks to get my class 3 medic whilst in the Army and 4 weeks to get my class 2....maybe he did something similar...I think for Kompanie Medic the course was 2 weeks and to transfer to the Saniäts Dienst 1 month.

Here's a little info on 144-6 (or 6/144) or at least how to decipher the number.

First off subordinate structure is like this:

                        Arbeitsgau
                        Gruppen
                        Abteilung

144 indicates the 4th Gruppen (last number) of the 14th or XIV Arbeitsgau (first numbers), which was named Halle-Merseburg, headquarters located in Halle (just south of Berlin district Brandenburg).

6 is the Abteilung, which is below the Gruppen & roughly company size.

I see from his Ausweis that he was also in 4/144, same Arbeitsgau & Gruppen different Abteilung.

Hope this helps you a little in researching this great album.
                        Regards,
                        Chris
