Northern Italy maps in a cardboard box?

    Hello,
I found today Northern Italy maps in their cardboard box... There are 13 maps and a booklet with city maps. The whole is stamped "General Stab des Heeres Abteilung für Kriegskarten und Vermessungswesen IV Mil.-Geo. Berlin 1940".
Were these maps used at a high level? Do they belong to a serie with France, belgium, Poland, etc...??
    Thanks

They were widely distributed to units down to Kompanie-level. Tens of thousands of them were printed. The question is more one of how many survived? I doubt if they are considered rare or even scarce.

The mapds are not classified only "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (Only for official use) not even a classification.

        this set is rare.
I personally have not come across the complete boxed set like he has.

A very nice group and a lucky find.
