Val, I am surprised that the (s) in the unit title appears after the / as it belongs before it, as in
4.(s)/Pz.Gren.Regt. 129.

The (s) indicates that the company is "Heavy" while if it appears with the Regimental title it indicates that the regiment is "Heavy" which is of course rubbish so are you sure of the authenticity of the document ? Alan

Val, Your second document in fact proves my point, the unit is the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion so the (s) for (schwere) appears after the / where it belongs, in your forst document the (s) refers to the 4th Company and should appear before the /. Alan
