    Studio Portrait Headgear Question

I am a collector of private postcard portraits, mostly studio. I am building up a decent collection and am always trying to find poirtraits showing hard to find badges, uniforms and headgear. I have picked up many steel helmet shots including an M34 Police/Fire, a few pilot headgear shots, customs, railway, even the postman and a tropical pith helmet shot. There are a few that I never see and am wondering if they even exist. I'm talking about a formal studio portrait showing headgear such as the SS Fez, an NSKK motorcycle crash helmet, one of those winter fur hats etc. Has anyone ever seen such portraits or have them in thier collections? I was also wondering about police Shako helmets that you don't see much. How about the Gordets in wear also?

    Hi steve

I will start this thread off with a few from my collection. Most have been posted on other threads.

Nice shots. I especially like the steel helmet shot with the painted swaztica.

Andreas, that's a great shot. I never thought I'd see that type of hat in a formal portrait.

Andreas, I noticed your tagline says you are looking for LW flight uniform portraits. Here is one you may enjoy. Is he wearing a glider helmet or summer flight helmet?

Nice portrait. That is the standard summer flight helmet, LkpS101.
