1940 copy of mein kampf

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 1940 copy of Mein Kampf and was looking though it when I noticed on the page behind the title page (title page containing print date and printers symbol of a bird with the letters "F" over "V" in a circle) is printed in english "Printed in Germany"...

Being that this copy of Mein Kampf was printed in 1940 and in Germany, shouldn't everyting printed in the book be in German and nothing in English???

Every other page in the book is printed in the old gothic lettering and is in German.

In addition, I purchased from a reputable dealer with a lifetime guarantee if it turns out bad.

hiya.....i have a 40's copy too with Printed in germany on it...i dont know the reason for this but i know its not uncommon....the several ive seen have had it...does it have the hardboard dust jacket with it?...and there are several types...the one i have is a newlyweds version...i try a post a link

Thanks for responding.

The copy I have does not have a dust jacket. It has a blue cover and the German eagle and swastika in gold on the front cover.

It also has a picture of Hitler and a paper separator made of thin rice paper between picture page and title page.

It appears to be a regular copy. I just think it is odd to have a German book, printed in Germany, in 1940 with "Printed in Germany" in English. I guess if other original copies of Mein Kempf have the same printed English phrase, then I can rest better. Does anyone else have an opinion??
