    Photographer Robert Rohr

I am considering the purchase of 60 portrait photographs of Hermann Goring that once belonged to the author Charles Hamilton. These photos were taken from Karinhall after the war by a GI. While most of them are official H. Hoffmann photos there are a few private shots of Goring with his daughter as an infant and young toddler. In the lower left corner is the embossed name of either "Robert", or in others, "Rohr".

Can anyone give me any information on this photographer.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Karinhall was captured by the Russians, not by G.I.s. It was on the shore of a lake just south of Prenzlau in Brandenburg. It was fiercely guarded by the Russians and no G.I.s were ever near the place at any time.

In addition, it had been dynamited before the Russians captured it.

Well, that's what I get for assuming I guess. I assumed that it was Karinhall because of the term "taken from his home", as to where the photos were liberated.

        Thanks,

        Chuck

His home on the Obersalzberg might be more likely.....Americans captured it and although bombed out it wasn't totally destroyed and i don't think it was set on fire like the Berghof was. A definate possibility.
Can you post some scans of the photos?

I don't own the photos yet.

I would like to stick to the original question and reason for this thread.

            Who is Robert Rohr?
