Any interest in "Gedenktafel" among the group? Here is one from Hirschhorn listing the town's dead and missing. Does anyone have any idea how many years after the war these were made?

List of names with photo, like this and Vermisstenliste, are invaluable source of information regarding "usual solders". Unfortunately I have seen it only a few times...

Anyone else something to share?

Note that Hörhammer and Lahmers family lost two... Uffz. Benno H. was KIA in Antonowka, Ukraine. Walter H. is recorded as "birthplace unknown" on VB database. Uffz. Heinrich L. was killed in Normandy. Jakob L. went missing in Stalingrad...
