Hey guys, just a quick question I'm hoping to get a quick answer on:
I found a great wartime in-uniform photo autographed by an SS officer named Fritz Wilhelm Schutter. He wrote a book called "Manner Der Waffen-SS" and included the title of his book in the photo's inscription. I just found out tonight that his book was published in 1980, so obviously this guy survived the war and signed this photo sometime after 1980.
I cannot find any references to this officer or his signature on WAF, nor can I find anything on this guy that does not directly pertain to his rather expensive and difficult to find book. Does anyone know anything else about Schutter, and/or what a post-war autograph of him might be worth? It's a great photo but the guy wants $175 and I'm thinking it's a rather steep price...
