    "Mein Kampf" book with SS stamp, 1932.

    Greetings to all.

    Could you please tell me about SS stamp in this book, what does it mean? How rare is this book at all and it's approx. price?

            Hi,

            I'm sure others will reply, but here are my thoughts ... this is of course the "Volksausgabe" (Peoples Edition). While it's one of the most common editions, a Volksausgabe from prior to 1933 like this one is worth more, because the big printing rush started in 1933.

            I think it would be close to impossible to authenticate the SS Dienstausgabe stamp. I don't know of any edition printed especially for the SS, and this is a regular pre-1933 Volksausgabe. I've seen stamps in Mein Kampf and other books for SS libraries, etc. I don't think any of them add anything to the value, IMO.

            This one looks in good shape ... value maybe $180-$200 these days in the US; German dealers have been running EUR 90 -120 on these, though for 1933 and after editions.
