Thanks Larry. I am enjoying sharing my collection as much as I enjoyed collecting them. You probably have noticed I have been posting them in date sequence to illustrate how the people were exposed to the coming war (and later the war) through the eyes of the Kriegsberichter.

This afternoon, an inspection of the Luftsport Land Group 4 at the Rhinow Glider School took place. This once was the site of the Lily Hall where he undertook his first test flight. Reichsluftsportführer Oberst Mahnke is giving a speech and calander of events for the German air sport during 1937.

This beautiful photograph shows a squadron of English fighters over Aboukir. On the ground one can clearly recognize the landing field for English aircraft. These Maneuvers are generally done with aircraft from the aircraft carrier “Courageous”.

25 years ago, on 20 April 1912, the German Experimental Institution for Aviation was established in Adlershof near Berlin. This is a view of both 15-meter high towers at the end of giant air channels through which air could be moved.
