        Opening celebration of the German Experimental Institute for Aviation.
        This morning, the German Experimental Institute for Aviation arranged a celebration to honor Oberst a.D. Thomsen, former Chief of the General Staff of the Luftwaffe, and the late Oberstleutnant a.D. Siegert, former Inspector of the flying troops, in the Adlershof Institute in Berling. The celebration simultaneously named the new building and the christened two passenger aircraft of the German Lufthansa. Our picture shows the acting chairman of the DLV executive committee, Professor Dr. Ing. Föttinger during his speech.

            Record flight for a New Zealand pilot over the south Atlantic.
            In the early morning hours (at 05:30) on Wednesday, the 25-year old New Zealand pilot Jean Batten, took off from Thies near Dakar in West Africa and flew over the south Atlantic landing at 16:45 in Port Natal (Brazil). She broke the previous record held by the Spaniard Compo by 3 ¼ hours.

              754333/ Huge German air fleet – ready for maneuvers.
              The fact that Germany has built up a powerful Air Force is proven in the above picture. It shows the planes in the Richthofen Squadron, as they appeared lined up at the airport for the recently held impressive maneuvers. (HE-51)

                The scientific society for aviation arranged on Tuesday in the Haus der Flieger in Berlin a “Flight technical speech”. In this course, Squadron Captain Plath speaks about his technical experiences from the 16 Rhön glider competitions. Our picture shows squadron Captain Plath during his speech.

                        Here are some more. Anyone can share their press photos here in this thread if they have any in there collection. Or am I the only collector out here??

                        Two new Zeppelin airship pilots.
                        The German Zeppelin company granted two long time crewmembers of Graf Zeppelin, the previous navigator Johannes Ladwig from Holstein and Engineer Heinrich Bauer from the city Nürtigen, a chance to pilot the airships. This photo shows the new airship pilots Ladwig (left) and Bauer.

                              The large water sport and air sport exhibition in Berlin filled both large halls, 1 and 2, as well as the connecting hall. It was opened with a celebratory act. Reichssportführer von Tschammer und Osten is giving a speach.
