    AVZ11361/ Carpathian battle sector.
Dust clouds lie over the road in the Moldau sector on which the supply lines roll toward the German-Romanian front from Sereth to Moldau.

      2002/ Well deserved rest!
The Panzer Grenadiers are taking a well deserved rest on the tracks of their halftrack after throwing out the Soviet enemy penetration upon their positions.

2019/ Because it is so: Then cheers!
The Panzerschützen of the Division “Grossdeutschland” take a pause in the fighting in the large defensive battles in Romania. They freshen up in this particularly tough front sector with a drink of Romanian national wine.

64538/ Delivery of an officer candidates camp for the volunteer
          Panzer Grenadier Division “Grossdeutschland”.
On the estate of Generaloberst Fromm, Reichsorganisationsleiter Dr. Ley and Reichsleiter Baldur von Schirach delivered and dedicated in a short amount of time an officers candidate camp for the volunteer Panzer Grenadier Division Grossdeutschland. The home for the officer candidates varies from the makeshift. Reichsleiter von Schirach, in cooperation with Reichsorganisationsleiter Dr. Ley, proposed to build new homes. Grossdeutschland officer candidates sit in their home. On the left of the door hangs their equipment.

WOW! These last two press release photos are certainly quite revealing! Now we know that Buddy Holly (with the guitar) and Elvis (in the center with the keg) were both much older than we thought they were, back in the day!

Thanks for these revealing pix, Todd!!

64814/ The new Soviet tank fell victim to the “Tiger”.
The Soviets sent their new tank of the type “Stalin” in the counterattack east of Romanian Bereth. The “Tiger” Panzer of the Division “Grossdeutschland” destroyed this steel colossal while attempting to breakthrough the lines. It now sits burning on the road.

During their attack east of Romanian Sereth the Soviets have attacked with their new tanks of the type “Stalin”. Wachtmeister P. from the Division “Grossdeutschland” finished this steel colossal with a hollow charge.

AVZ11488/ “Grossdeutschland” Füsiliere in the defensive battle at Sereth.
Panzerfüsiliere from the “Grossdeutschland” Division are in their position during the large defensive battle against the Soviets east of Romanian Sereth. Immediately before their trenches lies the new Soviet tank of the type “Stalin”. It fell prey to our tough defensive weapons.

As soon as the border is crossed, the roads are so bad that the highest demands are placed upon the advancing men and material. In the background of our picture the viaduct of a railroad line has been blown up by the poles.

A 15 cm gun is in limbo. A heavy lift. The lifting forces of the large crane is no less interesting for some warriors among the soldiers than the capacity of the transport steamer.
