1971/ Marine soldiers moving into position on the Fischer Peninsula.
In line, the sailors would say the command was "In line with 5 feet apart". Caution is also advised if the tag appears to be quiet? In the left foreground left is a well camouflaged bunker. It is hardly recognizable if you are not aware of its presence.

This is from a set that portrays the 8. Panzer Division (specifically, Panzeraufklärungs Abteiling 8) during the battle for Lauban. The battle took place from March 2 to March 5, and was one of the last German victories of the war. Any good news was needed at the time, which explains why the image was released on March 6, a day after the battle ended (and probably 2-3 days after it was taken).

2257/ Bunker in the Pripjet Marshes.
The Grenadiers have painstakingly built it on a small island. Several times a day, the hand pump must actively be used to remove the constantly oozing swamp water.

A unit on the eastern front functions as an observation post. It was created as a winter camp for the Flak Unit for flight registrations. It provides excellent protection against the worst cold temperatures.

Immediately after the use, the guns are cleaned. It is very important to give the weapon a thorough cleaning after each use.
