Dr. Goebbels first address following his illness.
Dr. Joseph Goebbels, German Propaganda Minister, salutes and smiles in response to the acclimations of a large crowd when he drove to the 299th People’s School in North Berlin. From there, he broadcast an address to the German children on the 6th anniversary of Hitler’s rise to power. It was his first public address following his recently reported illness.

9155/ The Führer bestows the West Wall Medal.
With the decree on 2 August. The Führer has created the West Wall Medal as recognition on the building of the German defensive wall in the west. It is awarded to persons who worked with the creation of the fortification. The West Wall Medal is a bronze medal. On the obverse is a bunker, above it a sword and a spade with the national emblem at the top. The reverse holds the inscription “For work on the defense of Germany”. The ribbon is brown with two white stripes and brown edges.
