1.(Go) or 1.(DFS)
Hello Roman,
Both the 1.(Go) and 1.(DFS) / Lw. Kdo Don existed. These units where disbanded medio April/May 1943 and the material as wel as the soldiers where incorporated into other units.
1.(Go)/Lw.Kdo.DOn => 3. (Go)./VK(S) 4
The picture from the 3 officers is taken medio November 1943. That i know as i have the EK 2 award document etc.. from the officer that is freshly decorated. At that time the Lw.Kdo Don did already no longer exist, it should not surprise us to still see the unit marking of this unit still in existence. The glider troops where always a bit a mixture
