    FJ EK1 Field award document

    Hi

What do you think of this FJ EK1 field award document from Brest?

IMO the signature seems to be Tollkien, he was the 12th CO commander.

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

I hope that I am wrong, but I don't like it at all, seems to be a fake to me.

Doesn't look like being German made !

Old paper that is made looking older and used.

    yours friendly

I'm with Eric-Jan, i don't like it at all. something like this i would have thought ought to be coming from Ramcke himself?
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

"An Festung BREST" - that#s not the exact German writing.

It should be written "In der Festung Brest".

          Thanks all for information.
I agree with you, it seems to be a bad award document.

          Regards
          Ben

            Hello,
just some other point about this document:

-Signature is "maybe" Tolkien, but he wasn't Hauptmann...

-Festung Brest is rarely seen on documents

-The stamp is odd, and had nothing to do with second FJD

Here is some example of what can be found for FJ documents in Brest (there will be more in my book...when it 'll be finish)

All document shown are "late battle" made, they are made in the last days of the festung...
First one KVKI signed by Ramcke(sorry bad scan), note the stamp, seen in the last days of september on documents signed by Ramcke...
