    If someone knows Ukrainian or Russian, it would be nice to know what is printed on the photo backs.

      I think the "KIA" shot is a period propaganda shot of the DF man sleeping. Its not a smock but a zeltbahn....Ive seen this photo before

        Hi Matt

        These photos were not relevant to the archives of the KGB or even put stamp "Archive Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR" in huge quantities printed in Russia and Ukraine. Regarding the photo slain German, it is well-known German photography.
