    Mein Kampf Wedding Edition.

I do believe that this was a wedding edition of Mein Kampf. What is the insignia on the front cover stand for? Like most wedding presents I don’t think this one ever got used. In pretty great shape. Is the slip case original? The slip case looks good but I want to make sure it goes with the book before it hits the estand.

      Justin,

yes, this is a typical wedding edition of Mein Kampf. This particular copy was presented by the city of Cologne. The cover emblem is the city's coat of arms (see Wikipedia).

The slipcase is also original and matching, albeit damaged.

Does your copy have gold top-staining or is it "blued"?

Thanks This is rather typical for early copies of the wedding edition. Later, wartime printings often received less elaborate edge staining.

The signature is from the Cologne Lord Mayor (from 1937 - 1940) Dr. Karl Georg Schmidt.

The letters "M.d.R." behind his name have the meaning that he was "Mitglied des Reichstags" . He was member of the German parliamt Reichstag
