    WARNING eBay Photo's

I just checked out eBay and found these photo's.

    http://cgi.ebay.de/Foto-Elite-Waffen...QQcmdZViewItem

Initially suspicious (looks like a re-enactment group), I checked out the rest of the pictures.

    Check this Tiger 1 out!!!

    Need I say more?

Now now, that rope is not designed to keep the public away from the displays....... its there to stop the re-enactors getting to the beer tent!!!!!

I see the highest bidder on two of the photos that went for more than 150 euros is from Japan. I wonder if Akira knows who it is?

Wonder if it's even worth reporting the seller to e-bay?

For what reason? The seller added the information that the photos are fakes just after he had been informed and even offerd to cancel bids that had already been placed. The real problem is that some people buy without thinking (or better reading). There is a bold text explaining the photos are not period and below there are eight questions and answers (also in English!) dealing with that as well. So I wonder if maybe the Japanese buyer should have scrolled down and simply read the text instead of blindly placing a bid...

To my mind, the seller is trying to pull the wool over our eyes -It's easy to say "I had no idea". If he were really honest, he would have withdrawn the photo's. I couldn't see any statements saying that they were fake, and only looked at the comments after posting on the forum. If the buyer is from Japan, the chances are that his understanding of German is worse than mine!!!
Why protect these sleazebags, someone took a lot of effort to make these photo's look period and you can bet your life someone who took that trouble would be more likely to try to sell them on eBay than to a 'junk shop' or whatever it was he claimed he got them from.

Here is some rare original color footage of the same tank! Unreal, too bad some one took it in the leg.

                      Neil,

I do not protect anybody. I just want to say that it is very careless to buy any item without exact knowledge of what is offered. I wouldn't by anything from a Japanese website if I could not (or did not want to) read what is written...

I Have to agree with Neil ( Porsche )

Whats with the residue on the back...!
Slip on alums have been around since the 60's and corners
even longer. This is an obvious attempt to make these appear period.

One language disclaimers are not enough, worldwide audience demands
more. IE: English being spoken almost everywhere.

                          THESE ARE NOT PERIOD PHOTOS:
                          Diese Fotos sind nicht Zeitraum
Ces photos ne sont pas période
                          Эти фотоие не будут периодом

Translator will not do Japanese / Korean

Look at the seller's feedback. I really don't believe he had bad intentions...

On the other hand I believe it it not necessary to use any other language than German on a German website. If you can't read or understand German and are unable or not willing to use babelfish you shouldn't place a bid...

IMO this all is a good example of avarice defeating common sense.

I agree on the issue of language but the photos themselves were created with the intention to deceive.
