I'm looking to see how much interest there is out there from the color photo collectors in contributing to a co-op color photo newsletter? Given the concerns of sharing photo material electronically, a better format might be a periodic, 8 page, quality paper - newsletter. Cost is about $250 for a run of 100 units. This is a small run, for sale item, by collectors for collectors. I'm counting that the small run, and cost barrier would discourage most 'image harvesters'. I'm thinking a co-op, as contributors would get a split of profits (that is revenue after costs).... small profit, if any, as this is a labor of love, not a money making venture. I've heard some horror stories from folks working with established publishers. Collectors would be responsible for scanning their own images, so no originals leave your hands.
Thoughts? Input? Good Joke of the Day?
