Who or what is this man? He's a recent reprint from the end of a series of Weimar negatives I bought 2 years ago. Police? Railway?

The image is mirrored: tunic front flap, crossbelt, bayonet etc all on the wrong side!
That's a "police" tunic, but from the cap insignia, whether prison guard or "blue police" (Gemeindenpolizei) I can't tell. I suspect something along the lines of the former-- courthouse bailiff or something similar, maybe some sort of transitional Third Reich Postschutz or Bahnschutz.
His belt buckle would reveal all, but it looks like it is "glared" out. Notice that is an OFFICER'S buckle-- and yet he is wearing enlisted ranks chinstrap!
