I think he was probably making career notes, as the 25/01/1945, is
          probably nearer the date.
Some specialists and high ranks left via naval evacuation.

          John.

If you want someone to answer your question, you had better look it over and re-phrase it. As it stands right now, no one can understand what you want.

Whilst phrased a little confusingly, it is not too difficult to understand what he wants to know: Was the Kurland cuff title ever actually awarded to soldiers?

                    Kurland cufftitle

I have two friends who were both in the Kurland pocket and both were awarded the cufftitle. One was wounded, evacuated by ship, and still had his Soldbuch with the award entered. The other described being awarded the cufftitle and later throwing it away just before being taken prisoner by the Russians.

Very interesting web link. While I don't speak Spanish, I gather that this officer was one of the former German military personnel who migrated to Argentina after WWII? Looks like maybe he passed away in 2005 in Buenos Aires?

I gather the white tunic and medals shown on the website are former possessions of this officer; items which, apparently, survived the war and that he was able to transport to Argentina?

                          Fascinating story . . . .

Interesting to note that the surviving uniform and the close-up photo of him in the white uniform has a metal cap eagle on the chest.

Also the original photo has another campaign shield on the left arm and the single-handed destruction of a tank on the right sleeve and these are missing in the subsequent photos.

Next to some questions, I can't seem to find more information regarding his military career and if there is a link with the 30. Infanterie-Division. I would expect to easily find something from an officer with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Also, Jarkis, how did you know his name? Are there more items of photos?

                              Laurens

EDIT: Just noticed Jarkis88 was expelled, so no more help from his side...
