Very nice pics...thanks for showing....hmmm black ammo pouches and gear on the Reichswehr, proves my theory that leather got blackened by a soldier's natural care of it...and not... items were brown prewar and then blackened per regulation...regulation was just to bring everyone on the same page.

nice to see that early twin buttoned side cap, which re-emerged as the 'm42' during the war. were these caps identical in size i wonder, or was the later one smaller...great pic of the man in the barrack, ubiquitous chequered bed linen a home favourite for sure amongst hardcore reenactors.
