Hi I would very much appreciate any help in Identifying the Kommandeur of Pz. Jp. Abt. 5 in this photo. Also does anyone know the identity of the Burgermeister. Cheers Larry

cannot identify the people, but the town where this is taking place and where the barracks are located looks to me like Kornwestheim. Not sure, if you knew this already and hope it helps a little? Cheers, Torsten.

You could contact the Stadtarchiv/townarchiv Kornwestheim and ask for the name of the Bürgermeister.

The name of the local archivist is Marco Nimsch.

When the Panzer Jäger Abteilung 5 started in August 1939 (?) in the Kornwestheim Kaserne than in this period (from 1933 - 1945) the mayor's name was Alfred Kercher.
